GOVERNMENT MAKING TESTS AUSTIN, Texas, April 25 The Texas Racing Commission has arranged with the federal government narcotic agencies at San Antonio and Dallas to analyze the saliva tests taken at Alamo Downs and Dallas Fair Park tracks during their coming meetings. The agencies courteously agreed to do this without any cost whatever to the commission or to the state. This will insure the enforcement of the commissions rules against doping of horses, as it means that when an owner, trainer or jockey is detected and caught he will immediately be prosecuted in the federal courts for violating the narcotic laws of the United States. Similar arrangements will be made with the narcotic agencies in the other cities of the state where races are held. The foregoing announcement was made today by Elizabeth M. Thweatt, secretary of the Texas commission.
