Fairmount Plans to Open Spring Meeting May 27 COLLINSVILLE. 111.. April 3.— Under an application for dates to be submitted to the Illinois Racing Board for approval, the Fairmount Park Jockey Club will ask to open its annual spring meeting on Saturday, May 27. An announcement to that effect was made at the offices of the association here today. Owners of the local course have been granted limited priorities to replace several of the barns destroyed by fire shortly after the close of the meeting here last fall.
