RUSSIAN VALOR reared at the ltart but improved his position steadily, came around the leaders entering the stretch and wore down his opposition in the final drive. GUN DECK raced forwardly from the start, assumed command in the stretch and held on well. SINGING BID was a forward factor from the start. BLENCO moved up stoutly when urged between the leaders and then faltered. GENIAL SAM S. had early speed. PHARAMONDA, on the inside, was outrun. Overweight — Trace Man. 3 pounds: Down Stream. 1. SUSSEX was steadied along in the first part, moved up when urged and finished well. OSSABAW would not jump as boldly as usual and was placed under urging entering the final half, but could not menace the leader. ON THE CUFF wa« never a factor. MEETING HOUSE fell at the fifth fence.
