"The Sale of Selected Yearlings" At KEENELAND RACE COURSE Lexington, Kentucky cfulij 1945.sh - August 2 The 422 yearlings cataloged for the 1945 Keeneland Summer Sales represent the choice yearlings to be offered this year by the 86 consignors who are represented in this sale. Practically every consignor represented in the catalog has culled his original consignment in order that only his best individuals, both in conformation and pedigree, will be offered yearling buyers at this time. Each consignor will sell the remainder of his 1945 yearling crop in our Fall Sale, or privately. Represented in this catalog are most of Americas successful Thoroughbred nurseries which offer their produce regularly as yearlings at public auction, as well as numerous farms which have made it a practice for years to sell some of their best individuals as yearlings. Almost every stallion of prominence in America that is still in service is represented in the 1945 Keeneland Summer Sale. All but two of the first nineteen sires on the American Sire List for 1944 are represented. In addition, a number of high-class race horses which only recently entered the stud also are represented.
