Devil Diver Is Assigned 136 for Carter Handicap Pegged Six Pounds Over Apach® In Saturdays Aqueduct Stake AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. Y., June 26.— Devil Diver has been assigned top weight of 138 pounds for Saturdays seven-furlong Carter Handicap, the Greentree Stable star being rated four pounds over the scale for this 0,000 added test by racing secretary-handicapper John B. Campbell. Next in the Carter weight list comes Be-lair Studs Apache with 130 pounds. First Fiddle, who made a return to the racing wars today, is next in line with 126 pounds. William Zieglers Wait a Bit, one of the trio who finished in a dead heat in last years Carter renewal, follows on the ladder with 121, three more than he carried when crossing the wire on a line with Belairs Bossuet and Joe W. Browns Brownie. The latter, who now races in the colors of trainer John Theall, has been assigned 114 pounds this year. Millbrook Stables Alex Barth gets in with 120 pounds, the same weight given Mrs. P. A. B. Wideners Polynesian. Another formidable candidate is William Helis Salto, who is to carry 116.
