THE CALIFORNIA FUTURITY. The California Futurity founded by the California Jockey Club calls for as much added money as the Eastern Futurity stake. The estimated cash value of the stake is 0,000, and already entries are pouring in from all over the United States and Canada, but it bshoves the breeders of this stato to raspond in liberal style. California should give these stakes at least 560 nominations. No owner of a thoroughbred brood mare cin afford not to come in. One of the main objects of these stakes is to increase tbe value of thoroughbred yearlings and the breeders of this state should csrtainly be alive to their beat interests. Nominations for the California Jockey Club Futurity Stakes close on January 2, 1900. The California Jockey Club adds ,750. The race is to ba run over the Oakland race course during the month of Dessmber, 1902. It is confidently expected that there will ba 1,000 entries at 0; This will yield 0,009, which, together with the added monay, will bring the value close up to 0,000.
