She and Sparrow Wing had a close struggle all through the last eighth and Sparrow Wing was wearing down the winner at the end and with an even break would have won. She was off poorly and had to go around her field to get up. Buffoon ran a good race. Fonsolee was eased up when beaten. Give and Take tired after an early display of speed. Lady Lindsay was outrun in the first half and hung when it came to a drive. His Royal Highness quit near the finish and was eased up.
