Bowen received a lucky start, went to the f;ont on the far turn with a brilliant burst of speed and was banging on stoutly at the end. Satire stood a drive through the stretch well. Lone Fisherman broke slowly and ran around the field on both turns. Wild Pirate, off badly and outrun in the fliet half, cloed a tremendous gap. Collegian went well for Bix furlongs and will improve. Belvino will last longer on a heavy track. Overweights Autolight, 1 pound; Collegian, 1; Belvino, 1. Autolight, show, 2 to 5. Bowen, show, 1 to 2. Satire, show, 21 to 1. 2 ""rjj SECOND. Unmasked broke running and otherwise lucky and on the rail, finished strongly and shows steady improvement. Belle of Lexington waB off well and lucky and ran her race. Cervera failed to stick in the last furlong. Connie must be in extra good form and is dua for an early win on a soft track. Rowdy was prominent to the last furlong and covered much unnecessary ground. Isias present good form appears to be only visible on a heavy track. Stuart ran as if short, but has workod fast trials. Lacrimae ran a good race and finished strongly, is fresh and good, was lucky and given a clever ride. Star of the West finished strongly after having gained a clear passage on the rail. Bchwalbe broke slowly, but waB shut off on the turn and carried wide in the stretch. She was sore when going to the post and must have a soft going to Bhow at her best. Locket went well. Advance Guard was best and extremely unlucky to lose the race by disqualification. He brushed along, possibly too close, on the outside of The Regent and Morningside in the stretch forcing the latter to pull up. Whitneys filly waB beaten at the time after having stolen a long and apparently winning lead on the far turn. The Regent came again in the Btrstch in the gamest possible fashion after being apparently out of the contention. First Whip was sent along early on account of the slow pace of the first half and was prominent only on sufferance. He was hopelessly left in the rear when the real racing commenced.
