Pomelia was outrun until stretch turn was reached where under a hard drive she got to the leaders and at the end was drawing away. Her rider, in reaching for his whip, allowed her to swerve and she bumped into Capitoiia, but for this the latter would have given her a strong argument. Robert W. showed plenty of speed but when the final test came weakened and would have bean beaten out for Becond place in a few more strides. Buby Riley was in an early tangle. This considered she ran a good race. The others are bad racers. Pomelia, show, 4 to 5. Robert W., show, 2 to 1. Capitoiia, show, 3 to 1. Fearful, Bhow, 3 to 5. Virgil Clay, show, 7 to 10. Joe Doughty waB sent away flying but Dale took him back on the backstretch and indulged Dominis with the lead until on the turn for home, where he came up with a great burst of speed, catching Dominis in the last furlong and beat him at the end handily. Dominis was stiff and sore and appeared on the verge of a breakdown but it did not seem to affect him. Don Luis under bad handling ran a fair race and should improve. Joe Doughty, show, 4 to 5. Zanetto under good handling, was much the best and had no trouble in disposing of this bad field. Beefor, out for the first time in a long while and backed for a "good thing," ran a fair race and but for meeting with interference on the backstretch would have been closer to the winner. Coreel was hard ridden all the way and at the end was gaining. Hi Kollar and Jennie showed early speed, but both tired in the stretch run. Zanetto, show, 4 to 5. Reefer, show, 3 to 5.
