Bacchanal essayed to stay with tho leaders and tired at the end of a mile and a half. Dr. Eichberg failed badly at the end of the first mile. Charawind lacked schooling through the field. Blues at the weights ran up to his best form, was very fit and was easily euperior to the others. Terminus ran about tho beet race of his eastern career. Baron Pepper and Advance Guard were outrun, but were closing up at the end. The Pepper colt appears improved after his let up and was evidently short. He is a superb horse over a cup route.
