GBEAX RACE IN PROSPECT. The Worth Jockey Club is making great strides toward popularity with the race-going pnblic of Chicago. Besides showing a decided liberality toward horsemen in the amonnt of added money for a fall meeting, an effort is now being made to bring together three of the greatest of western two-year-olds, Endurance by Bight, Abe Frank, McCheBney and any other high class youngsters that their owners might believe to have a chance with an allowance. Mr. S. C. Wagner, now in New York, haB been negotiating with Mr. Schorr to bring his grand filly to Worth to race daring the last week. Mr. Schorr stated that he had given a wealthy New York owner an optiou on the filly which was to expire yesterday, but if she does not change hands it is more than likely Endurance by Bight will be entered in the Special at Worth. G. G. Bennett has already expressed himself as willing to race his great stake winner against the Schorr filly or any others that might want to enter in a special event. McCheaney is right now in grand form and his owner may be willing to try his colt against the good ones ; the fllly Merriment might also be willing to try conclusions with the crack j if sae is given a reasonable allowance. Secretary Eillar is vary aDxious to arrange such a race aid v ill anmnii.cj an attractive sum of added money if the ownerB of the crack two-year-olds will agree oj the distance and conditions. The event wi.l bo a special for 00 a Bide, and the club will add a sufficient sum to make it interesting fur owners to race. Endurance by Bight ha6 justly been teimed the queen of two-year-old fillies, while Mr. Bennett, who has refused an offer of 5,C0O fur Aba Frank believes his colt to be the beBt in the west, and J. S. Warue McCheBney will take a lot of beating from the best of them. Such a race would attract attention from tha east and west. The distance will probably bo Biz furlongs as both Mr. Schorr and Mr. Bennett are said to favor that distance. Abe Frank will be raced at Worth and will be thoroughly conditioned by the latter part of that meeting. G. T. Boots has decided to remain and race Argregor and the otheis of his stable at Worth. Mr, Boots had arranged to ship to California next Thursday, but he found the weather and progam to his liking and decided to stay. The Worth October Handicap which closes tomorrow will include the bast racing material now i racing at the local tracks ; tbiB event has 1,000 added and is at a distance of one mile. The Worth track is rapidly filling up with horses and when a few days ago it had a quiet sleepy country air, all as now life and activity. The horsemens special train will leave every morn-ing,tfrom Dearborn station beginning Wednesday, at 7:55 for the accomodation of turfmen who reside in the city.
