Emma B. closed up with a fine burst of speed in the last eighth and was easily the best. Lady Contrary, off flying, showed a fine turn of speed, but was tiring at the end. Henry of Trasta-mare came with a ruBh in the last eighth and would have been second in another stride. He Ib good just now and bears watching. Kohnwreath unaccountably quit when the pinch came. Rival Dare ran a dull race and failed to show her customary strong finish. Cora Havill II. showed early speed. The result was never in doubt after flag-dip. Merriment finished resolutely, but had no chance to beat the winner. Rag Tag showed sameness and stood a long Btretch drive. Winner Ch. f, by Rancocas Dead Cinch. Went to post at 3 :10. At post 5 minutes. Start good. Won handily ; second easily. Burnie Bunton showed great speed and received a skilful ride. She closed up on Money Muss just before straightening for home and held him safe all through the stretch. The latter showed all Mb usual speed but was clearly outrun in the last quarter. Lou Woods ran a good race and showed a fine turn of speed. The others were never serious contenders. The race was an exceptionally fast one the time being three-fifths of a second faster than the track mark. Lou Woods, show, 21 to 1. The last named came with a rush in the last sixteenth after making up much ground, but too late to be of any avail. The route was a little too long for Gonfalon, which was in distress after running the first mile. The Conqueror II. waB easily outrun aud is nowhere near a good race. Gormley choked If You Dare off repeatedly before reaching the turn for home and then swnng wide, losing ground. His mount should have been second.
