The start caused the race to be confined to four horses. Zanetto was well handled. Mona B. ran a good race. Hazel Hughlett was not in condition and stopped. De Blaise raced well and closed fast under a very weak ride. Hi Kollar had speed, but was badly ridden. Poyntz did well from a had beginning. Money Back, looking well and heavily played, was all but left at the post, closed ground fast, but was thrown on the fence at the three-eighths post and injured. Zanetto, show, 2 tol. Varro ran a good race and finished gamely under a hard drive. Alice Turner was excessively used in making the pace but ran a good race. Salve is an awkward horse and lost ground on the turns but finished strongly. Glenwood tired and guit. Prosper La Gai wants a hard track. Joe Doughty ran a very bad race. Van Hoorebeke was turned around at the start, made up ground quickly and finished fast. Sweet Dream ran a good race from where she got off. Evas Darling showed speed, but tired.
