Barnacle was pulled up in a flying start, given a weak ride, allowed to swerve out from the rail in the stretch and was much the best. Lexington Bess had speed, but stopped. Jean Gravier showed improvement. Marchioness was badly ridden. Votary had no speed today. Overweights Jean Gravier, 3 pounds. Easy Trade, show, 6 to 5. Barnacle, show, out. Lexington Bess, show, out.
