Winner Br. c, by Atheling Wild Honey trained by W.F. Presgrave. Went to post at 2 :19. At post 4 minutes. Start good. Won easily ; second the same. Dublin is in . great form, moved up fast into the lead when a furlong out and won going away and was best. Chucta-nunda went after King Pepper early and had him decisively beaten when straightened for home, but . evidently lacked in condition and was unprepared for the winners rush. He will probably develop into the crack sprinter of the year. King Pepper set an amazingly fast pace considering the bad state of the track and although tiring still held on well and is another high-class sprinter. The others were far outclassed. Belle of Lexington quit early. Wealth broke slowly and closed a gap. GlenWater fin- : ished strongly. Sister Jeanie held her own well throughout and was short. St. Barnaby is strictly a I mud runner. Colonel Bill, very fit and favored by the going, led throughout and stuck to his work very gamely t Gold Care finished strongly and was gradually wearing him out at the end. Sombrero drew up on almost even terms when a sixteenth out, but failed to stay and was unable to concede the weight. The uneven and cuppy going was also a handicap. Swiftmas broke fast on the outside and taking the lead at the start appeared a certain winner throughout and outclassed tho field at the weights. Belvino, always prominent, came away fast from the field in the last quarter. Redpath finished with a rush and ran a great race at the weights. Flying Buttress, poorly ridden and messed about, was carried wide on the turn and going well in the last quarter. Pearl Finder was forced back in the first sixteenth and closed a big gap in the last half. Five Nations and Anak were tiring at the end. Feme Sole was a good filly for five furlongs only. Dazzling got into action quickly from a flatfooted start, was forced into the rail early and pulled out around and indulged Intervention with the lead to the stretch, where she went to the front and won cantering. She was much the best and is probably a crackerjack. Intervention set a terrific pace for the first half and was tiring at the end and was worn down by the fast coming Molly Brant. The latter ran a treat race ; in spite of an incapable jockey, who allowed her to swerve into Intervention at the end and was disqualified. Ada Nay, away badly, closed a big gap. Sparkle Esher wont romarkably well at the weights. Lady Josephine, crowded back at the start, was repeatedly interfered with throughout and made up ground. . Winner B. h, by His Highness Louisette trained by A. L. Aste. Went to post at 4:00. At post 4 minutes. Start fair. Won driving; second the same. Prince Richard distinctly liked the going and, with lucky and clear sailing, passed the pacemaker in the last furlong and only just lasted out to beat the greatly improved Rossignol. The latter and Vincennes I were both closing up fast. Vincennes was badly pocketed and crossed at various times and carried out in the stretch and was best. Andy Williams, away poorly, gradually moved up and made a strong bid in the stretch and but for being pocketed in behind the winner would have been placed and ran a fine race. : Kilogram tired in the last quarter after giving a good display of speed. Lapidus was short and handicapped by the cuppy going. Prince Richard, show, 4 to 1. RoBsignol, show, 3 to 1. Vincennes, show, 1 to 2. Kilogram, show, , 3 to 5. Lapidus. show. 3 to 5. Won in a canter; second driving. High Chancellor, being in close quarters, went through next to the rail in the worst going, forced the pace for the first half and came away in decisive fashion in the last furlong and was much the best. Dr. Baylor came fast at the end. Cinquevalli went well at the weights. Wax Candle followed the winner closely and displayed brilliant speed for a half and tiring at the end, crossed his front legs and fell when he had second place assured. Forward was nearly left and badly ridden, repeatedly crossed and interfered with, but finished like a whirlwind and should have been second. Decoration closed a gap and was going strongly at the end.
