Pilaster saved ground at all the turns, was best and came away when his rider was ready after racing Little Bock into subjection. Little Bock ran to his best form, was tiring at the finish and had as much as he could do to stall off Peter T. at the end. The latter finished strongly and was gaining at every stride. The latter might have given her trouble had he not swerved at the furlong post. He came again at the end and finished strongly. All Souls, as usual, was outrun in the first half, but was coming strongly at the end. Her Letter raced up to the leader at the home turn, but his weight told at the end and he tired.
