Carl Kahler was ridden with excellent judgment, Coburn taking him back just before turniDg for home and then making his run at the last eighth post, from which point he finished fast and, strongly. Scotch Plaid also finished stoutly and was much the best of the others. Lady Idris showed much speed and stood a long stretch drive with gameness, outstaying Emma R. in the closing strides for third place. Emma R. showed her usual turn of speed. Layia was always outrun and showed scant speed. Light Ball, when fit can do much better, and his race should not bo taken seriously. Carl Kahler. show, 1 to 2. Scotch Plaid, show, 2 to 1. Won easily ; second the same. Serge was much the best, displayed keen speed throughout and won as his rider pleased. Kine Hammon ran to his best form and itood a long stretch drive with gameness. Antagonist tired perceptibly in the last sixteenth. Gilfain finished strongly and would have been third in a stride or more. Olivilo made up some ground in the last quarter. Lord Farandole was not called on until after taking the tenth jump, where he closed up fast on Mazo and passed him easily in the last eighth. The latter showed improvement, fenced cleanly throughout and displayed much speed on the fiat. Torreon tired rapidly in the last eighth. Captain Conover ran well up to the ninth jump, from which point he gradually fell away beaten. Ada S. G. ran far below the form she showed when last out. Golden Way showed scant speed and was hopelessly beaten off all the way. Iceni lost his jockey over the sixth jump. Meddler went down heavily ovor the third. Scratched 31529 Darlene, ISO. Hermncia was not called upon until just after entering the stretch, where, under a vigorous and determined ride, he gradually wore down Scarlet Lily in the last sixteenth. Just after turning for home he bumped into Artena and them swerved in the last sixteenth against Scarlet Lily and crowded her considerably. He was promptly disqualified, 8carlet Lily being given the race, with Artena second and Silurian third. Scarlet Lily ran to her best form and stood a long stretch drive with gameness. Artena tired palpably when a furlong out. Flying Torpedo ran a very bad race. Overweights Artena, 1 pound. Scarlet Lily, show, 1 to 3. Artena show, 2 to 5. Silurian, show, 6 to 5. Corinne Unland came with a rush at the end under keen pressure and just got up in time to win on the post. Helgesons carelesnoes on Declaimer lost the race for his mount. Instead of going on in the last sixtemth he kept looking around and was caught napping in the last few strides. Cork ran well and finished fast. Judicious tired fast when the pinch came. Magi showed a sharp turn of speed, but carried it for five and a half furlongs only. tJho is gradually rounding to her best form. Little Gem, as usual displayed speed. McChesney began slowly, but moved up fast when turning for home and easily wore down Joe Frey in the last sixteenth. The latter ran to his best form and was eased up some at the end when Woods saw he had no chance with the winner. Jiminez held on longer than usual and should be a hard horse to beat the next time out. Marcos was right there for six furlongs. Rabunta showed a Hash of early speed. Joe Frey, show, out.
