Start good. Won easily ; second driving. Watkins Overton began slowly and was badly outrun in the first qnartor, but after that made up ground fast and finished with a rush, going away at the end. Galba finished strongly, just getting up in time to nip Vinctides on the post. The latter showed a keen turn of speed and appeared the winner whon a furlong out, but tired rapidly in the last hundred yards. The Picket ran a dull race and can do much better. Canyon showed well for a half mile. Sardian showed speed, but was well spent when turning for home. Scratched 34477 Charlie Scoggan, 103; 346643 King Hammon, 113; 32648 Solver, 103. Won easily; second the same. Nellie Wad-dell was much the best at the weights, ran to her best form and made the field look cheap. Buruie Bunton finished strongly and ran to her best form. Toah closed up ground fast in the last quarter. Headwater was well beaten just after turning into the stretch. Wainamoinen was thrown out of her stride at the start by Messina, which bumped into her. This practically threw her out of the race. Admonition was altogether too high in flesh to race. He pulled up lame. Lemoon was much the best of the others. Stamp made uo ground in the last eighth. St. Sulpice fenced cleanly, but was tiring fast in the last eighth. The latter tired perceptibly in the last sixteenth struggle. Jane Holly ran a good race. Off badly and cut out of position at the first turn, she made up ground slowly thereafter and finished determinedly under an energetio ride. Gonfalon tired fast when the pinch came.
