Nearest was used up in chasing Onan-etta and Houbre took her all over the track to avoid the swerving of Onanetta. . The latter was speedy, but tired badly in the last quarter. Cotton Plant tired. Barnacle was in a pocket at the three-eighths and was badly cut off and lost ten lengths on the upper turn, but ran through the field in the stretch and was easily best. Marchioness did not run her best race because her saddle slipped back. Centie ran an extra good race. Tribes can do better. Bear Creek made a fast move at the stretch turn but tired in the run home.
