Aratoma outclassed the field and won as his rider pleased. Kid Hampton stuck to his task gamely, ran a good race and should improve. Kingbrook was outrun in the first part of the race, but came strongly at the end and got up in the last stride to beat out Vituria for third money. Competitor was under a hard drive throughout and showed smart improvement. Ethel Davis was tiptoed in the first half and showed signs of quitting at the stretch head, but came again under punish- ment. Julia Junkin was raced into exhaustion in an attempt to keep up with the leaders in the first part of tho raco. Jigger was off poorly. The winner was bid up 05 over his entered price and retained. Charley Thompson was given an ill-judged ride as the.race was run and should have won by a big margin. Trio ran a good race from a poor beginning. He was favored by tho jam on the first turn Dianora II showed early spaed but is apparently a non-stayer. Worthington showed a flash of spaad There was considerable crowding in the race.
