Maxette tired slightly in the last sixteenth. Pericles finished strongly. Florestan was well spent when a furlong out. Senator Morrison showed scant speed. Burnie Bunton ran to her best form, and, although outrun by Nellie Waddell for the first five furlongs, gradually wore down the latter in the last eighth and was going away at the end. Nellie Waddell ran consistently, but could not concede the weight to the winner. Rag Tag ran the best race of bis career. He showed much speed, but tired a trifle when the pinch came. The latter was under keen pressure all through the last eighth and was tiring noticeably at the end. Leo Newell made up much ground m the last quarter. Limelight was well beaten when a furlong from home. Fridolin showed speed and was right there for six furlongs. The winner, entered for 00, was run up to 05 and bought in. Urchin, show, 4 to 1.
