Christine A. caught the leaders tiring in the run home and drew away without great effort. All Souls laid well up withthe front rank during the early stages, finished very strongly in the stretch run and was gaining on the winner at every stride. Durazzo had a rough journey, but can do better. First Attempt tired badly after showing early speed. So did Clivoso. The latter was eased up when beaten. The Pride of Surrey went all around the leaders at the far turn, took command in the stretch run and was going away at the end. Oconee saved ground at the home turn, where she came through next to the inside rail and was under a drive all through the last furlong. M. F. Tarpey closed a big gap and finished very strongly. Delmarch was off well and had a lot of speed, but Morris put up a weak finish and was nipped for third money in the last stride.
