St. Finnan outstayed Huntressa in a hard drive through the last quarter. The latter ran a good race at the weights. Himself ran a bad race and was lacking in his usual speed in such going. Charawinc waited on Big Gun to the stretch turn where he went to the front, was well in hand throughout and best 1 at the weights. Big Gun ran a splendid race at the weights, forced the pace and outjumped his field but his weight told on the flat in tho last half. He appeared to be beaten for second place, but rallied with a tremendous burst of speed and finished as strongly as the winner. Ferocious moved up fast ii 1 the last quarter and held second place apparently safe, but tired in the last few strides. Ohnefc is steadily improving, but lost ground over the hurdles. Star Chamber, Somerset and Seminole were car I ried hopelessly wide on the first turn and had no chance. Charawind, show, 1 to 2. Big Gun, show, 4 to 5. Ferocious, show, 21 to 1.
