Foundling, away well, liked the going, held the lead throughout and won with something in reserve and was always in the good going. Ethylene was under restraint to the final eighth post, where Bonner took her from the good going into the deep track next to the rail and went from a pull to a drive in two strides. Port Royal is seemingly a sulker and is low in flesh and weak. He can beat such horses when fit. Overstreet is a good looker and probably will win when placed right. Scratched 348SOCroix dOr, 107. Satin Coat was at home in the going, was easily best, came fust in the stretch and could have won farther off. Varro ran an excellent race in going that he is not supposed to favor. Barklyite, favored by the soft track, ran a strong race. W. B. Gates was badly ridden and finished strongly under an inefficient ride. Bacchus was taken in the soft going next to the rail all the way, was weakly ridden at all stages and can do much better. Ida Penzance is far from being at hor best. Overweights Barklyite, 2 pounds.
