E. Rowell. Went to post at 2:15. At post 3 minutes. Start good. Won easily; second the same. Mr. Dinsle was much the best and fairly ran away from the field. Rankin took kindly to the soft going and showed much improvement. King Hammon ran a dull race and can do much better. Canyon tired perceptibly in the last eighth. Olivilo ran well for about a half mile. It was a bad lot. Jackfull had little cliance after getting tangled up when the barrier went up. He was given an easy ride thereafter. The latter showed much speed, but tired slightly when challenged by the winner in the last seventy-five yards. Water Edge tired fast after the firandt half had been run. Talpa appeared unable to extend herself in the mealy going. Ravensbury was hopelessly beaten off after the first three furlongs had been run. He can do much better. Overweights Water Edge, 1 pound. The latter showed her usual sharp turn of speed, but tired palpably when challenged by the winner. Agnes Mack was cut off badly just after the start and lost much ground. She made it up fast in the first three furlongs, but it took all the heart out of her and she had nothing left to finish with. Dodona was always outrun.
