He is in rare form at present. Jack Demund was easily the best of the others. He was a little slow in getting into his stride, but onco well in motion he made up ground fast and finished strongly. Vestry outstayed Orla in the last sixteenth struggle. The latter showed much speed but tired palpably when a forlong out. Irene Xiindsey, well up for five furlongs tired rapidly when the pinch came. Blue Miracle showed much speed but tired fast when the pinch came. Rankin ran a fair race, the track having dried out too much to suit him. The latter tired when the pinch came, Dr. Nowlins race was too bad to be true. Harv B. fell heavily over the eighth jump. Torreon shied at the fifth jump, but was taken back and went over the course. Topsoil appears to have fully recovered from his runaway of three miles last Friday. Foxy Kane tired badly when the pinch came. The distance was undoubtedly too far for him. McChes-ney, all entangled at the start, was given a poor ride and messed about generally. He finished strongly and was gradually wearing the winner down. Favonius moved up fast when turning for home and finished resolutely. Nitrate tired fast when the pinch came. Callant ran a surprisingly good race and was taken in the worst going next to the inside rail in the last quarter.
