Daly, reserved to the stretch, mado good in surprising fashion, and but for a weak finish might have won. St. Finnan, at great disadvantage in pace-making, led by apparently a safe margin for the first mile but failed to stay. Satire was outclassed. Won driving ; second the same. Clorita, away poorly, worked a rough trip through and finished with a great rush. King Pepner, nearly laft, ran a phenomenal first half and appeared a sure winner in the stretch, but this effort tired him, although he held on well! Lieschen beat the gate and made the most of the advantage, led with surprisingly improved speed and stuck to her work well. Stuyve, away poorly and badly interfered with, closed a big gap in the last half and was easing up at the end. Morokanta ran in improved form and finished well. Belvino, nearly left, closed a big gap.
