Tom Collins was in hiselemont and hold the race safe throughout in the run home. Dave Sommers ran a good race in the going and finished strongly. Santa Ventura ran well but tired in the last furlong. Velasquez ran a poor race. Lynch did well from a bad beginning. Hainault refused to break and was never a serious contender. Tenny Belle can do better. Temptress is not good in mud. Jack Young is a good mud runner, came fast through the stretch and finished strongly. Mamselle fully ran her race. Pourquoi Pas showed speed, but tired in the stretch run. Gate3 did his best and was apparently beaten, but hung on stoutly and won because of Adams bad ride on Uledi. The latter drew away at the three-eighths post under restriint, but Adams let his head go in the stretch took up his whip thrice without using it, retarded the horie, changed hands on the reins and generally misused him. He was at once suspended indefinitely for bis weak effort. Ravensbury came to the post with his front legs swathed in bandages, the sloppy mud rendered the bandages very heavy and tho horse labored in the going.
