Daly saved ground with him all the way and the colt fought it out gamely when it came to drive. Hayden came very wide with St. Daniel and finished on the extreme outside; this beat him. Handcuff caught Red Monk tiring in the last quarter and was going away at the end. Red Monk showed surprising early speed and was hustled along all the way. Wellesley ran a fairly good race only. Benck-art seemingly could not raise a common gallop. He likes tho mud. Wellesley bumped into Khaki at the first turn and sent tho latter to her knees.
