JCOOAL TUBE1 GOSSIP. The following official ruling was handed out after the races yesterday: "F. F. Gazzolo is warned off the Harlem race track and trainer E. L. Talley is ruled off Ifor connection with the administration of stimulating drugs to the mare Emma A. M. in the sixth race October 1, 1902." Emma A. M. showed unexpected improvement and won the race above mentioned as she pleased. Trainer Talley is a brother to the one-time promising lightweight jockey, who died in New Orleans during the winter meeting of 1900. "Kid" Weller left last night for Washington, D. C, to confer with Joe Ullman relative to making book at Morris Park. After the Morris Park meeting Weller will go to Hot Springstand open the Southern Turf Club, in which Joe Ullman and Dan Stuart will have an equal interest. Jockey Downs, who rode Fearful in the steeplechase, had his collar bone broken when his mount fell at the second obstacle. Jockey Carter, who fell on David S., escaped unhurt. C. R. Ellison thought his horse, Judge Himes, could not be beaten yesterday in the fourth racei and bet ,000 on him. To retrieve his losses he bet ,000 on Evelyn Byrd in the closing race. The latter finished third and his own horse seemingly could not raise a respectable canter and was beaten off.
