True Blue, off running, displayed brilliant speed, the hard track being to his liking, and although he was tiring badly managed to last under the whip. Maiden ran a good race and would have been a keener contender with stronger handling. Benckart made up ground in the stretch and would have been sefcond in another stride. Rockey, off poorly and taken up too fast in the first quarter, weakened when hard pressed in the last furlong, but his race was a good one. It was a poor race for Glennellie. She seemingly lacked speed and the race should be thrown out. Red Damsel was not up to a race. Dandie Belle was pulled up in the stretch. Fcratched-36155G. Whittier, 116; 36087 Pearl Finder, 100. Knight of Gold got off flying and showed the most speed, but was all out and doing his best at the end. Glennevis and Uranium were both hard ridden all the way in an endeavor to catch the winner and the former lasted the longest. Uranium was well ridden, but was tiring at the end. Sailmaker was poorly handled, but about ran his race. Pearl Divers race was a good one. Fading Light was unlucky and knocked about all the way. Ink closed a big gap from a poor beginning. The last six at the start had no chance. Scratched v6047 Mayor Graham, 112; 33106 Hemlock, 109; 36047 RoBewater, 109. Knight of Gold, show. 2 to 1. Glennevis. show. 21 to 1. Uranium, show. 1 to 2. Tip Gallant, a hich-class performer through the field, galloped in behind the field during the first part of the race and easily went to the front when Ray desired and was under restraint at the end. Imperialist fenced well and stood a long stretch drive, but had no chance with the winner at the weights. Judge Phillips could not handle the weight, but could have been closer up and was eased up when beaten. Decameron is only a rater, but a good jumper. At post 3 minutes. Start good. Won easily ; second driving. Harry New was best at the weights and was under restraint at the end. He is very fit at present. Himself broke running, but was deficient in early speed. He made up ground later and finished gamely under a capital ride. Dublin ran a high class race and is fresh and good, but his weight told on him in the final drive. Unmasked whs hard ridden all the way, but could not keep up and the race should improve him. Daly was interfered with when Hanover Queen fell and can win when rightly placed. Moor is worth remembering in sellng company. Rossignol was overweighted. Wealth was short, showed speed and fell away when under a drive. Away poorly he closed a big gap and running gamely just lasted long enough under the whip. Watkins Overton, prominent throughout and in a good position, closed gamely in the final furlong, was going strongest at the finish and would have won in a couple more strides. Zealotry displayed a good burst of speed in the stretch. Wannakee. plainly short, showed plenty of speed and appeared the winner a sixteenth from the finish where she tired. Squid will win when rightly placed. Turnpike, used up in the early racing, was eased up at the end. Dinkeie had no speed.
