SYRLIN IN GOOD SHAPE. i Syrlin will be a starter in the Bennings Spring Handicap, if the track is in good condition on the opening day of the Washington Jockey Clubs meeting. The St. Saviour gelding has been greatly benefited by his winters rest k enforced by the stewards of the Western Jockey Club. Most of the time he was galloping about in a big field, with the result that he took on a lot of flesh. He does not look like the Syrlin that went to New Orleans from Bennings last fall. Robertson has been giving the crack sprinter slow work for some time. The speedy gelding is about at himself now, and his owner says that it is only a question of the condition of the track whether he starts in Bennings opening stake event,. ...
