LAKESIDES PROGRAM OUT. Pleasing token of the near by advent of local racing is the issuance by Secretary Nathanson of the program book of the Lake-side spring meeting. It covers all of the twelve days of racing alotted to the Indiana track so that owners and trainers can at once begin the study of conditions in search of soft spots for their fleetfooted charges. Seventy-three purses are provided, of which fifty-one are of the value of 00, sixteen of 00 and six of 00. Six races are scheduled for each day except the last, which has seven. It is throughout a book of well devised conditions, catering skillfully to the classes of horses that may be expected to race at Lakeside. The program of the first day is as follows: First Race, selling, Purse 00 For three-year-olds and upward. The winner to be sold at auction. ,700, weight for age; 1 lb. allowed for each 00 to 00. Seven furlongs. Second Race, Purse 00 For two-year-olds. Weights 115 lbs. A winner of a race of 00 value or of four races of any value to carry 3 lbs. extra. Non-winners of a stakes that have not won three races allowed 4 lbs.; two races 8 lbs.; maidens, 12 lbs. Four furlongs. Third Race, Purse 00 For three-year-olds and upward; 7 lbs below the scale. Non-winners of three races since Feb. 1 that have not won one of 00 value in 1902 or 1903 allowed 5 lbs.; of three races of 00 each, 10 lbs. Five furlongs. Fourth Race, Purse 00 Three-year-olds, 95 lbs.; four-year-olds, 107 lbs.; five-year-olds and upward, 110 lbs. Winners since March IS of two races other than selling to carry 3 lbs.; of three or more such races, 7 lbs., extra. Non-winners since that date allowed 2 lbs. for each time beaten to 10 lbs. One mile. Fifth Race, selling, Purse 00 For three-year-olds. The winner to be sold at auction. 51,200, scale weight; 2 lbs. allowed for each 00 to 00. One mile. Sixth Race, selling, Purse 00 For four-year-olds and upward. The winner to be sold at auction. ,S00, weight for age; 1 lb. allowed for each 00 to 00. Non-winners this year, if beaten twice, allowed 4 lbs. One and one-eighth miles.
