Gregor K. was originally alloted 95 pounds in the Powers Handicap, but for winning yesterday he incurred a five-pound penalty. A number of horsemen have shipped their stables from the "Worth track to Hawthorne, the latest to leave being the horses of J. F. Barrett and Co. J. Arthurs colt Rankin showed a disposition to sulk in the handicap yesterday, and although slightly interfered with on the first turn, ran far below his true form. E. R. Bradley has purchased from D. OBrien the two-year-old half brother to Aladdin, Merry Pioneer, by Blazes— Merry "Wise, for a reported price of ,000. Jockey J. "Walsh has signed to ride for J. E. Seagram during the "Woodbine meeting, and will leave for Toronto, Ont., Sunday.
