Amorous ran a good race and caught the leaders tiring at the end, but had to stand a long hard drive to stall off Little Corker. The latter made up much ground and finished fast. Williams took Jake Greenberg back at the start, kept his mount on the extreme outside for the entire trip and came fast when too late. Olonetz showed much early speed, but tired as if short. Gloria Mundi ran well to the stretch. Overweights — Amorous. 1 pound. Amorous, show, evens. Little Corker, show, evens. Jake Greenberg, show, G to 5. SECOND RACE — 4 1-2 Furlongs. Sweetie was under restraint until in the last hundred yards, rushed to the front when Reiff called on her and was only cantering at the end. Stumpy got off all tangled up and closed a big gap, but tired when the pinch came. Jennie Moore had every advantage, was off running and showed early speed, but tired and quit. Sweetie, show, out. Flora Bright began slowly ami was bumped into at the start and crowded back, but came with a rush in the last furlong. Bud Embry finished well and outgamed Senor. The latter was badly ridden, Helgesen lost half a dozen lengths with him while rounding the far turn and came very wide when turning for home. Overweights — Bridal March, 1 pound. Esherin showed speed and improved form. Woodlake was used up in chasing Wainamoinen and tired when the pinch came. Jiminez was as good as left and Winkfield did not persevere with him. The latter was made too much use of while rounding the far turn in chasing Owasca and tired when it came to a hard drive. Owasca showed much early speed, but quit after going three furlongs. Port Warden ran fairly well. Silver Spinner ran poorly. Scratched— 38908 Nettie E., 88. Overweights — Onita, 1 pounds. Prince Rupert, show, evens. Phelan, show, evens. Owasca, show, evens.
