Salto was much the best, showed much speed and simply played with the field. Lady Free Knight ran to her best form and was easily best of the others. Claremont ran well, but tired in the last sixteenth struggle. Glisten ran an impressive race and bears watching hereafter. She met with much interference when running near the last eighth post. Anna Beall showed the most speed for five and a half furlongs, but tired in the closing strides. Irene Mac met with interference in the first half, but when she got clear sailing down the stretch closed up ground fast and would have won in another stride or two. Marco stood a long stretch drive, but faltered just a shade in the closing strides. Goody Twoshoes was right there for five and a half furlongs. Goal Runner was pinned in next to the inside rail when a furlong out. He bears watching hereafter. The latter tired palpably in the s last sixteenth when challenged by the winner after showing much speed. Sai-ah Maxim i tired when a furlong out, but ran in improved form. C. B.
