The latter made a determined effort to close up on the winner in the final eighth, but without avail. She was much the best of the others at that. Soldier of Fortune failed to come with his usual rush at the end. He ran to his best form and is a consistent colt. Glisten hung palpably when called on in the final furlong. She has probably had a little too much of it lately. Bernice ran well for three furlongs. The others were never serious contenders.
