Won easily; second driving. • . ■ Barnacle showed the most speed throughout, went to the front right after the start set his own pace and won as his rider pleased. Per Centum ran well, is rounding to and will be dangerous from now on. Pearl Finder got the worst of the start, but made up ground and finished fast. Plum Tart was also off poorly and closed a big gap, which told on her at the finish. The last five had no chance when the barrier went up, but Gold Cure closed up a tremendous gap. St. Juvenal raced Blue Darter into submission in the first quarter, then disposed of Judge and came away without trouble at the end. Judge ran a good, game race and is worth remembering. Won easily; second driving Picktime raced Elcho into exhaustion and came away without much effort. Lady Essex bumped her way all through the race. She fouled Grand Lodge while passing the stand and was disqualified. But for the interference Grand Lodge might have given the winner a stout argument. Far Rockaway closed up fast at the end and would have beaten the winner in a few more strides. On the Quiet weakened at the end. Animosity quit.
