Six Shooter easily outstayed Old Hutch in the final eighth and was going away fast at the end. The latter showed much speed, but tired rapidly when challenged by the winner. Jim dlark stood a long stretch drive and finished strongly. Mary Lavana was thoroughly beaten just before turning for home. Vulcain ran in improved form and bears watching from now iandi. Peter Paul beat the flag by three lengths and, showing much speed, easily wore down Manshak in the last eighth, winning as his rider pleased. J. P. Mayberry finished gbing fast. Manshak, off badly, showed a sharp turn of early speed, but tired rapidly as as usual in the final eighth. Gus Heidorn finished with a rush and would have been third Ifl another stride or two. The Picket stood a long stretch drive and ran an impressive race. Bad News tired palpably in the last sixteenth. Gregor K. displayed a fine turn of speed, but was well spent when a sixteenth out. Linguist appeared to have a cfiance when near the final eighth post, but faltered when the pinch came. Early fell away beaten after running well for seven furlongs. Compass was well spent when a furlong out. Moor showed much speed, but tired almost to a walk when entering the final eighth. Hayward Hunter ran a dull race and can do much better.
