HARLEM STAKE ENTRIES. Entries for the nhie additional stakes closed last Wednesday by the Harlem Jockey Club, are of such quality as to insure high-class racing during the remainder of the season. Every stable that has achieved note in Chicago this year, except Middleton and Jungbluth, is represented and every per-; former of class is engaged. The nine stakes drew a total of 604 entries, an average of 67. The Golf Steeplechase has thirty candidates so that the eight fixtures to be run on the flat closed with an average of 72 nominations, an unusual number at this time of the year. The stakes with the number of entries for each follow: Entries. These include the Twentieth. Century Handicap, the Chicago Stakes, the Garden City Handicap, the Riverside Stakes, the Youngster Stakes, the Proviso Stakes and the Junior.
