THE MORRIS SALE. Horses in training and yearlings composing the stable of Green B. Morris were disposed of at auction at Brighton Beach Thursday, October 22, by the Fasig-Tipton Company in the presence of a large number of owners. Some good prices were realized, seventeen head going for 1,750, an average of ,867. Rapid Water was the highest priced of the lot, John A. Drake securing him for ,600. Edward Corrigan was a liberal purchaser. He paid ,300 for Precious Stone and 00 for a Sir Modred Duchess of Kendal yearling. He also bid to , 7,500 on Rapid "WJater. A. J. Joyner, acting for Sydney Paget, took Boxwood on a bid of ,800. James H. McCormick, as representative of P. Dunne, bought Golden Mineral for ,000. The imported colt Slave went to R. W. Hall for ,700.
