Mendon leisurely followed Radium and Old Stone and swung wide into the stretch, then closed up fast and won with plenty left. Old Stone showed his usual speed, but his weight told when strongly challenged. Spencerian ran a good race through a tangled field, overcame much interference and would have been a close contender with better racing luck. Lord Hermence ran his race. Kilo was twice cut off. Lady Free Knight was given an easy race and will probably win presently. Radium showed speed for a half. Exapo showed speed to the stretch, but tired as if a trifle short Baronet ran to his best form. Morris Volmer ran well for seven furlongs, then tired badly W. W.
