INDICTMENTS AT NASHVILLE. Nashville, Tenn., January 2. Indictments were returned today by the grand jury against several persons who participated in the betting on the races at Cumberland Park last Saturday. Tlie indictments cliarge violation of a provision ot tlie Rice-Llgon law which prohibits betting on horse races in Tennessee. The cases of the indicted persons will be tried at the present session of tlie Circuit Court,. The violations were deliberate and for the purpose of testing the constitutionality of the law.
