Soundly was well placed, hut never able to get up. Sir Preston got away poorly and closed a sap. Stirling Towers was messed about. Sol Lichtensteiu loomed up well on the inside midway of the stretch and will do to watch. Good Cheer, away slowly, lacked early speed and, after being shut off and pulling up often, came along like a cyclone on the extreme outside. The race should be thrown out. Fastoso, always in a forward osition, loomed up in the last sixteenth, then tired in the closing strides. Nine Spot, sore and unlit and apparently hopelessly outclassed, finished witli a cyclonic stretcji run. San Remo was never dangerous and ran a bad race. Chief Bush was outclassed here.
