New Orleans. La., January ISO. Albert Simons added another two-year-old race to Ii 1st credit at City Park this afternoon and incidentally showed in Blue Dale what many horsemen consider the best two-year-old that has raced here this winter. Blue Dale won with ridiculous ease and ran three and :i half furlongs in the fast time of 42?. He is a massive . looking colt and finished like one that can go on. The track was fast and the attendance large. A majority of the winners had plenty in reserve, but two of the races furnished driving finishes in which the winner was In doubt until the official placing was displayed. Jockey Nicol scored three times during the afternoon, and as live of the seven favorites won. the public had the better of their argument with the books. Elliott pulled up lame after his race and this was probably responsible for his failure to win. Apart from his mishap today the horse appears to have trained ofT. M. J. Winn, president of the American Turf Association, leaves for Louisville tomorrow morning. Roger Mlntou, acting for the Hayman brothers, has engaged jockey It. Lowe to ride for ithe stable he is handling during the coming season. He will report to the Messrs. Hayman at Bennings.
