PLANS FOR RACING IN MONTANA. In response to a letter of inquiry from Dally Racing Form with reference to dates, etc., for the reason of 1000 on the Montana Fair and Racing Circuit, Secretary A. D. Gnlbraith writes as follows from his ofllee In Butte: "The Montana Circuit this year will be composed of the following towns: Butte, Lcwiston, Livingston, Big Timber, Billings, Bozeinau, Helena, Great Falls and Missoula, starting in about the first of August and winding up October 8th. There may be some chahses In the dates given to the different towns and as soon as they are all rntllled I will be glad to furnish you witii a complete list. The racing program and stakes for the different towns have already been made out and the latter will be in the neighborhood of 0,0O0, togctfier with the purses. There will be two running and two harness races a day. "We are, at the present time, trying to get some concessions on our freight rates, and this also will be straightened out within a few days. A great number of horsemen from California and Colorado have already announced their intention of bringing horses to Montana this year, while a number of Montana men have been purchasing good horses at the eastern horse sales, and it looks as though this should be one of the best racing seasons Montana has seen in a number of years."
