NOTES OF THE TURF. Through liis victory In the Burns Handicap, Dr. Lcggo has Incurred an eight pound penalty for the Brighton Handicap, so his weight for that race will be 122 pounds, lie Is not In the Suburban, but has been given 118 pounds in the Brooklyn Handicap. It may be that Hugh McCarren, Jr., will take jockey Perrctt to New York this year. Because of a dispute with the ofllcers of the Jockey Club over forfeits, McCarren has been debarred from racing on the New York tracks for several years. Influential forces, however, are at work, it is said, to bring about a settlement of these troubles.
