Free Booter moved np quickly on the turn out of the backstretch and opened up a winning lead on his opponents in tlie run to the stretch turn, but tired in the last furlong and had to stand a hard drive to stall ofT Woggle Bug. The latter finished with a rush, but Austin outfinished Koerner when the deciding action came. .Monochord ran well and outstayed Red Ruler when it came to a hard drive. The latter began slowly and bad to go around on the outside to get up. Gringo showed much speed for a half mile and then tired. Orient finished fast. Adesso and Hadur ran bad races. The latter was cut off on the first turn and had to go around on the outside, but finished fast and was wearing the winner down at the end. Benvolio finished resolutely and outstayed Siss Lee in the final drive. He was worked out an extra mile, covering the two miles in 3:395. Morendo ran a good race and was easily best of the others. Tapiola closed a big gap in the last half and finished with a rush. Weberfields showed speed, but tired. Wlckford ran poorly. Harvest Time showed the most early speed, but tired after going a half mile and was probably a bit short. Gentian got away mixed up and bad to come on the outside, but fifinlshed fast. Ann Hill and Nevada showed flashes of speed and appear to be rounding to. Davenport ran in suddenly Improved form. Red Ruby showed early speed, hut tired. Tadellos got off poorly, but ran a bad race.
