Lens showed a smart performance, raced Blue Dal? to defeat while going to the stretch turn and drew away with a rush in the last eighth. Colloquy, off tangled up, was all but left at the post, clospd fully a dozen lengths and finished very fast, came wide on the turn into the homestretch and outganied Bonart In the final drive. The latter was cut off end knocked back soon after the start and ran a good race. Blue Dale quit under drive after showing the most speed to the stretch. Odd Trick tired badly. Fonsoluca wore Knowledge down in the run down the backstreteh and had something in reserve when Ilymettus moved up and challenged on the turn into the homestretch, drew away again in the stretch and was well In hand. Ilymettus tired when it came to the final drive after having made a good effort. .Tuba was bumped into and knocked back by Knowledge when the start came, trie interference costing four or five lengths, then- came on and ran a good race. Knowledge kept bearing out on the first turn and quit after six furlongs. Helgerson did not run his race. Little Elkin aiid Del Carina ran poorly. The latter was mufefcused In racing with Fox Hunting and Esterjoy and tired, but hung on gamely to the end. Thistle Heather closed a big gap and finished fast. Henry of Trastamare was always outrun and rated along at the one clip all the way. Esterjoy ran well to the stretch. Lineal and Fox Hunting showed Improvement. Tlchimtugo raced Knickerbocker to retirement in the first three furlongs, but had nothing left when the winner challenged. Chief Hayes was sharply cut off on the far turn by Tichimingo and lost three or four lengths. Nutwood was also interfered with. Knickerbocker aud Dr. Mack ran well to the stretch. Garnish ran a good race and shook off Monacodor without much effort In the last eighth. The latter ran to his best form and tired in the stretch. The others were never dangerous, but Lady Charade ran in improving form. St. Tammany ran a remarkably bad race for him.
