RYANS KOMOKA THE MEDIUM OF A BIG COUP. Dr. Lyman Wagers 0,000 on Ralbert McCafferty Wins Heavily Dr. Lcggo Takes Another Race. San Francisco, Cal., February 15. Brightening skies brought out a big crowd and plenty of incident was on tap at Oakland this afternoon. T. H. Ryan, the Illinois horseman famous in the past for many big betting coups, brought off one of huge proportions with Konioka in the fourth race at a mile and an eighth. John Grant Lymans Ralbert at odds-ou won a remarkably fust race at seven furlongs, carrying a commission of 0,000 for his owner. Dr. Leggo vanquished a fast lot of sprinters with supreme ease in the closing race. McCafferty was the star plunger during the afternoon and won large sums over the victories of the aforesaid thoroughbreds. The crack filly Neva Lee made her appearance after a long let-up and rau a wonderful race under disheartening conditions. W. D. Randall arrived at Oakland today with C. W. Clarks string of racers, including the promising two-year-old Valeureuse.
